Narjess – Handmade Berber Wool Rug – Ivory & Burgundy – 240 × 170 cm
Handmade Berber Wool Rug – Ivory & Burgundy Rectangle Pattern
Narjess is a handmade Berber rug crafted in Tunisia from 100% sheep wool. Its natural ivory field is structured by a bold grid of deep burgundy rectangles — a graphic, architectural composition that feels both modern and rooted in Amazigh weaving tradition. The rectangles vary subtly in size and spacing, giving the pattern a hand-drawn quality that sets it apart from anything machine-made. The hand-knotted fringe, twisted in ivory and burgundy, ties the two colours together at the edge. Narjess suits contemporary, Scandinavian, and eclectic interiors where graphic design and natural craft share the same space.
Authentic Artisan Craftsmanship
Each rug is handmade by women weavers in the Kef region of Tunisia using 100% natural wool. Their techniques and traditions are passed down through generations, making every rug a unique piece of cultural heritage.
Sustainably Made & Fair Trade
Studio TUNIQ works directly with rural artisan cooperatives. Fair compensation and sustainable production are central to every design. Made-to-order to reduce waste and support slow craft.
